Web design

When it comes to web design, I have a "simple but effective" ethos. Simple, easy-to-use structure with an elegant design and excellent functionality, which all helps to keep the cost at a competitive level for my clients. The use of content management systems (CMSs) also means that my clients save on maintenance, as they can do much of the updating themselves with relatively little training.

Working as an individual web designer, I insist upon a close working relationship with my clients based on trust and familiarity. You will be involved in all stages of the process, from choosing a hosting package to setting up emails, and from approving copy to selecting images. I will always be available to you during the build process and support is yours at all times.

My services include:

- Design, build and hosting implementation of your website

- Set-up of email addresses

- Logo, graphics and general creative work

- Social network set-up, integration and training

- Copywriting

- Training in the use of the CMS

Support services include:

- A direct number with which to contact me during office hours, or later depending on service level

- Blog posting and social network updates

The Scott-Amundsen Race 2011/12

The Scott-Amundsen Race will recreate the epic race to the South Pole of Captain Scott and his rival Amundsen, the eventual winner. Lt Col Henry Worsley, expedition organiser and leader of the Amundsen team, needed a website capable of encouraging donations, informing supporters with regular updates and giving exposure to his extensive list of sponsorship partners.

The website will soon be updated with an interactive map showing the progress of both teams during the expedition. This website is built on Movable Type 5. Visit scottamundsenrace.org.
